Dahle high security shredders are designed to protect our National Security. All government agencies and military they require a higher level of security than standard office paper shredders. The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) has increased the shredding requirements for classified documents. The new standard is called NSA/CSS Specification 02-01 for maximum particle area and maximum particle dimensions and also sets a tough standard for machine durability. All the Dahle high security level 6 shredders meet all the govenment standards.
All the Dahle high security cross cut paper shredders are on the NSA/CSS Evaluated Products List. The EPL contains high security cross cut paper shredders that have been evaluated by the National Security Agency NSA or its designee and meet the performance requirements of NSA/CSS Specification 02-01 high security cross cut paper shredders.
